Snags. Be very wary of hangnails. Some grenadine gets "wooly" from regular wear (tying and untying). I can tell which ones will and won't just from touching the fabric but I can't easily put into words what the different fabric qualities are. Hober's seem to be of the better variety which doesn't get wooly. Moutain & Sackett is also like this. Paul Stuart's "limited edition" made in New York City grenadines get very wooly, almost to the point of unwearability. Do not recommend.

Not as SF-approved as NOBD's untipped garza fina (man that's an awesome tie) but gorgeous. Drape and knot are superb.

All orders go through our website so that we can keep track of them. However, I am very happy to help you with placing the order.

Thanks, David - I just emailed you.

Thanks for the reply.

Sounds like there may be an opportunity to sell 'Grenadine handling gloves' for tying these!

Anyone have any experience with the Hober "Thai shot silk ties"?

The colors look fairly amazing on the pocket squares, but have not seen anything in the tie variety.

I have a lot of David's ties but I haven't tried the shot silk. I am about to order one though. I asked David about them and he indicated that they were a little more casual than other ties. He indicated they wouldn't be the best for a business situation. Nonetheless, I am going to order one. I think I am ordering #4, the blueish red shot silk. I will report back in about a month.

Here is the charcoal and black

I also have the olive and black but no decent shots. It's very hard to get the colors, especially with an iphone.

Ordered 2 ties last night. Will post photos in approx. 2 weeks.

Midnight blue linen, lightly lined 3-fold, hand-rolled edges

Camel wool, lightly lined 3-fold, self-tipped

Both 8cm x 59". I also measured the flare of the small tip of my Drake's ties and will be attempting to recreate it in these.
