Agreed. I really like a midnight navy tie, light blue shirt with a light grey suit (or cream linen odd jacket in summer), but there aren't a lot of times I'd pair a navy tie with a light blue shirt. It's fine, it's classic and many pull it off well, but to me it's not often the optimal look.

I do think a brown tie needs to be a part of a larger rotation just because it will be a bit more noticeable since it's different.

The new navy madder. Rich color, though the pic is slightly brighter than IRL.

^ Very nice Renton!

Today's Hober is a repeat and is the forest green diamond weave (3-fold construction).

Ordered these last night:

http://www.samhober.com/macclesfield-print-silk-ties/macclesfield-silk-tie-119.html

Each should pair quite well with various shirt colors, e.g., pale blue, lavender, pale pink, white.

This cell phone picture doesn't do this tie justice -- the surface has a nice lustre and the photo is over saturated. But, I thought I'd post it because it is something different.

This is the EST-4. I really like this tie, though at first I thought I made a mistake.

What do you gentlement think abou the "side dimple." I prefer softer ties and I find that, despite my best efforts, the dimple ends up this way after a few hours.

While I prefer a nicely centered dimple like pp, tdude, and others in this thread consistently achieve, a side dimple is better than no dimple. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif At least you're not overly fussy about it. smile.gif

Nice choices seven. Love both of those. Nice tie Todd. Softer ties are harder to get that simple it's true. Sometimes I fuss (yes I am fussy) with a knot for 5 minutes before I'm happy. Some kinda dimple is always a good thing.

Nice choices...I have both of these ties. :D  I'll be wearing the #119 tomorrow as a matter of fact.
