very nice, kroaker and pp.

Well, I took the plunge based on this thread.

I ordered two ties to start... then I could not bear it and ordered another two... a midnight grossa, a dark red grossa, a chocolate grossa and a brick promoteo.

David is the pinnacle of customer service, couldn't ask for better.

They are simply breath taking pieces of art.

I have worn the dark red one with a mid blue double breasted suit, crisp white shirt, burgundy calf leather double monks and belt and a wool pocket square with navy, camel and dark red colours. I had six complements that day, three of which were on the tie alone.

Unfortunately the photos I took are lost; my phone corrupted and the cloud did not save them. Gutted.

I promise I will take a pic the next time I wear one of them.

^^ great choices!  Welcome to the 12-step program that deliberately avoids recovery.  Look forward to the pics.

Dark Chocolate Fina #5:

Nice tie, Flyswatter. Is the fina that much lighter than the grossa in this color or is it the picture / my monitor?

Thanks. The color definitely came out pretty light in my pic. IRL, it looks darker in most lighting conditions, though not as dark as it appears on the Hober site. I can't comment on how it compares to the same color in the grossa weave, but I'd be curious to know as well.

Thanks! I'd love to eventually add one of the bitter chocolate grenadines to my collection as well.

Where were the other usual contributors today?! Tdude, PP, et al... If I had a job that required jacket/tie every day, I'd contribute to this thread more often myself... and have reason to expand my Hober collection even further. laugh.gif

In other news, I have an order for two more grenadines which should be shipping very soon. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif Finally got around to ordering the gray piccola #13 (your pics a few weeks ago convinced me to pull the trigger, Syeknom), as well as another navy fina in standard construction to replace my 7-fold that I never actually got around to wearing and decided to sell.

Good man! :) You will be very pleased with it i'm sure.

Need to order some new hobers myself, it's been too long.

shog[1].gif I wore a non-Hober. Rectified for today, but it will be a recent repeat. Great choices fly. I have a navy grossa, but I think I need the fina too!

Yesterday's Hober, Yellow/Gold Oxford #20:

Ugh, just got my pocket squares. Is there a separate 12 step program for them, or is it the same as the ties? Bye bye monies.
