Love the tie kroaker, but its a Hober, so you can get a more provocative dimple out of it. smile.gif Look at PP's, Levi's and fly's pics.

I've tried!  I'm a dimple simpleton, I just can't get good ones.

Keep trying Kroaker. You can do it.

Love that cashmere tie!!

This is number 20. With a white shirt proved almost impossible to photograph in natural light. For some reason, it just washed out. So fuzzy indoor pic that more closely represents the colors. sy2yqyza.jpg

Here's one at an odd angle in natural light that captures the color.

If I were to have only one tie to wear with a charcoal suit, which one would you fellas recommend me?

I will only be wearing a tie when going to job interviews. I might get a second tie later down the road.

Right now, I'm thinking this will one will do just fine:

Opinions?

That one, or the midnight blue, or the burgundy would be great.  I'd also consider the finas, same look, tighter weave.

That's a great one; I'd also consider the midnight blue grossa or either color in a grenadine fina.

Thanks you two. I'm leaning towards the Fina weave now.

Is there a reason to get the midnight navy over the regular navy?

I have the navy and it is much closer to the color of denim than it is the color of a dark navy suit. So I'd suggest starting with the midnight as that will be the super versatile tie you are after I think!

The navy grossa and fina are in the spoilers below. Not sure I would call the color denim.

Here are two pics showing the navy fina and grossa with the same suit...

Of course, formality will be in the eye of the beholder but I don't see any difference in that aspect between the two looks.  YMMV.

Sorry for quoting my own post. Not sure if that is in good taste or not. satisfied.gif

Not really, personal preference. Both are excellent, versatile ties. Again, the spoilers above will show the difference between the grossa and fina weaves. I think this is also a personal preference decision.
