Thanks, stitches.

So, the days of 2 month wait are behind us ? I only need to wear a tie for 2 months a year and never got one because by the time I would have got it, I would have been back to summer clothes

you are correct! and if you pay for expedited shipping you can have it arrive really quick too.

There is no standard length, it depends on your height. It's a custom tie.

not exactly, when you pick a fabric and place an order, the standard length is i believe, 57 or 58 inches. longer than that can be done, but there is a charge for it.

Does anyone have any grenadine swatch sets to lend? - I will pass it forward.   Any weave will do as I need to choose color and weave.  Maybe I should say prioritize rather than choose as I feel I am about to descend a very slippery slope where I will end up getting many ties.

My experience has been that I get the email saying the tie is in the post and should take three weeks and then it surprises me by arriving a few days later.

He outlines on the website how to figure out length. I tweaked the length and width over a couple of orders before settling on my preferred dimensions.

I followed the instructions and nailed it on the first try. David's instructions are very good.

They are, I'm just indecisive.

I have a black silk and a grey silk, seen back in post 1200:

The black is washed out but you know what black looks like. The grey, although called charcoal, is fairly well-represented in this picture.

I hadn't really noticed them being overly shiny. The grey is quite silvery I suppose.

Do you find that the silk ones, being intended for ties, are a little stiff in the pocket when used as a handkerchief?
