Crappy iPhone pics of my latest haul:

Left to right: Macclesfield Print #84, Burnt Orange Diamond Weave, Forest Green Grenadine. First two are standard lined 3-fold, last is lined 4-fold. All are 3 1/2" wide and kept slightly wider higher up to tie a longer (taller?) knot.

What are the two on the right?  I love the color and texture!

Repp Silk and Grab Bag are spoken for, but the linen set remains available.

All of the swatch sets are spoken for. I would ask everyone who is getting a swatch set to do the same and forward after your review.

The great thing about the swatch sets is David has a wish list section on his website so you can save your favorites on line.

Any timeline on when the Burgundy Grenadine Fina will be back in stock?

Just received my two ties from SH -- very pleased with the results. Both are 55" long, 3 1/4" wide, and constructed for 4IH knots. The grenadine (Slate Blue) is a 4-fold construction and the linen (Powder Blue) is 3-fold.

Photos were taken outside, in the shade, and appear to be true to color (on my monitor at least).

Great ties! I just ordered the Slate Blue grossa myself. Seeing yours makes me even more confident in that decision. The linen looks stunning as well.

Well, Spoo . . . you are certainly a prolific poster and I am relatively new to this.  It's a matter of personal style I guess.  As many have said before me, your dress should look as though you were not thinking about it at all . . . hmmm, what's that word?  Spezzatura??

post #1049 of 5153
I don't understand what the thinking behind that is. Nobody is thinking you're rolling out of bed with a coat and tie on.

I'm no expert on ties, but your knot looks off center, a little big, and with an off-center dimple.

@Liquidus - Exactly!! ;-)

Any Italians out there want to weigh in on this??

But this thread is about David, certainly not about me nor my quirks and fancies . . .

#2 - Sammuele Hoberi Garza Grossa Charcoal Silver #21 - I think the Finas should probably be six-fold, the Grossa is fine at 4 fold.
