Comments on button stance?

Stance is OK for me - I'm 6'3 and like a slightly higher than normal stance - but the almost-over-the-top gorge is a deal killer. Too bad, the 85/15 cotton/linen sounds like a good mix.

The model is 6'1"/ 185cm tall.

I would say that the button stance may be a tad high.

1) Probably should put this on the mega peacoat thread: Woolrich Woolen Mills peacoat (http://www.mrporter.com/product/165993) - just received this in the mail. Looks good but 1) a bit heavy on the shoulders, 2) slightly tight in the shoulders (might be ok and I'm just not used to it), and 3) not used to how short it is (same as the model photo on me). All minor points but then again, it's not cheap.

What do you guys think? Keeper for the price? Don't see much chance of wearing it in HK unfortunately.

2) Also picked up http://www.mrporter.com/product/302297 (LVC 1947 501) and http://www.mrporter.com/product/185541(Nudie Average Joe) for 50% off - very happy with the price, let's see how they fit.

3) Unfortunately the Levis M&C jeans (http://www.mrporter.com/product/300916) was a bit too tight for me (30x32) - if anyone in HK wants to buy them off me, let me know before I return them.

They gave me a $30 credit and offered an RMA if I wanted it. Don't think I will. Answered my mail in minutes too.

What's bizarre is that when I measured where the button is placed (the image) in the Richard James jacket versus a RLBL jacket, it appears to be at the same spot but the RJ one looks higher for some reason.

RLBL: http://www.mrporter.com/product/174270

Edit: Never mind...I put both pictures in photoshop and RJ is clearly at least an inch higher.

GR8! A customer service representative actually called me the other day (same day as my order dispatched) and informed me that the designer box to the mark mcnairy boots was a bit damaged but assured me that the boots were in perfect condition. She gave me a 25 eur store credit without me even bringing it up (although I haven't seen the box yet...). Thats what I call proactive CRM biggrin.gif.

A quick question for you Burberry boys. I received the Prorsum trench and although I loves it, I'm not blown away by the tailoring and overall finish. Did you guys feel the same or was I just expecting too much from a trench? I don't think I'd pay full price for it. Is it normal for Mr Porter to ship this sort of thing with just a cheap-ass MP garment bag? I hope the D&G overcoat is less disappointing.

And more importantly, do you wear yours belted or unbelted? I'm tempted just to remove it altogether.

I've purchased a Prorsum trench and was amazed by the overall quality, stitching, fabric, lining, finishing and detail. Mine is: http://au.burberry.com/store/menswear/trench-coats/prorsum/prod-44555591-mid-length-cotton-trench-coat/

same as the one listed on MR PORTER, but I got it from Luisaviaroma. A girl I use to see also had a Prorsum in the honey colour, also well made. When I've purchased jackets / Coats from MR PORTER I've always recieved them in the MP garment bag, some with the branded hanger, quality of the bag is fine for me.

Some Prorsum items I would pay full price for, other not. I definitely wouldn't pay full price for anything in there Burberry Brit line.

I wear mine both belted, or undone, depends on the outfit/occasion. When undone I usually tie the belt at the back like Christopher Bailey wears lol.

I can't believe they cheaped out by having those single sided. Those, in particular, demand to be double sided. They'd be heavy, but worth it.

I had no interest in buying them, but just checked and they are sold out now.

People probably had their fingers on the trigger for weeks waiting for the final reductions on those!

Are blackberry 9700s that obsolete that a Valextra alligator case can get down to $31 and still be in stock?

it sure seems so. I remember seeing that at full price on the site and thinking no one will buy this thing even at %80 off. Does Blackberry still make that phone?

I was able to get 2 pairs of the Grenson James loafer for $109 each and they sold out minutes later. Great for casual wear, great way to start my Thursday morning.
