Mr. Porter 50% off sale - picked up gucci tux etc already - Page 41

Returning the John Lobb City II Wide Fit in 7.5 UK.

The fit was ok, but somehow- and this is my first for a Lobb - it did not seem worth it at the price.

Dunno what I was expecting.

I picked up the "Hutton" in a 9.5UK for $820, with lasted shoe trees.

My first Lobbs, and they're gorgeous.

Coming from Mr. Brioni, I'd think you learnt how to walk in a pair.

Man I'm so glad I read this. Ordered mmm gats on the 17th, just received them today in the mail and they fit. Gave customer service a call and they price adjusted the 30% to 50%, a good 9 days after the purchase. Thank you ^^

what do you guys think of this hoodie?  I debating on whether i should keep it or not.  Don't know too much about the brand.

SNS has a pretty solid following on SF.. mostly cardigans/knits (stark, etc). I love them for the tall/slim fit.

As far as hoodies go, maybe see if someone else chimes in. I cheap out for AA.

I've been happy with EG up until now.

I'm only 24, and JL always appeared too "mature" for my tastes.

These are beautiful though!

My custom alligator booties lasted me so I didn't have to come on to RTW JL to learn how to walk biggrin.gif

I always thought EG was a bit more "mature" compared to JL, the last shaping and dyes at least. Im in my middle 20's and use my JL museum calf shoes when going out all the time, could never see myself doing that with the EG's I've come across besides these suede ones I saw one time. Although for our age group my preference for the best mix of formal/night life shoe brand is still Tom Ford. Like i could use my TF black oxfords with a pair of jeans but if i used my black JL hastings, it looks a bit odd.

But back to the main topic. Picked up two pairs of Brioni shorts and a light blue Brioni linen shirt, managed to snag the last shirt in my size and one of the shorts, lucky i logged on when i did lol.

Well, guess the Burberry prorsum items are hit and miss. Got the blue trench early in the sale and it's amazing. Just got the linen/wool peacoat and it's ridiculously boxy and stiff and looks like something the marshmallow man would wear. Really surprised prorsum would make a coat that doesn't drape at all, it feels like wearing cardboard.
