What a joke. In the UK Mr Porter charges £255 ($403) for a pair of Incotex casual trousers, whereas at Harrods they're £175 ($276; same ones). That means even with 30% off Mr Porter is still more expensive than Harrods RRP.
Spoke to Customer Service and they've 're-branded' it to be called a Preview sale of which Founding Members participate. There was even one item that should not have been excluded from the sale yet showed up full price in my cart. I would basically have to purchase it and once shipped, I'd be refunded the discount back.
Disappointing overall, but I'm glad I took full advantage last year on the first founder's sale. They've excluded more and more items as the sales have progressed anyway so I'm quite thankful I got my 50% Lobbs last year. At this point, it only warrants waiting for the public sale and watching items to see if they make it to the 50% markdown stage or even beyond. Some of my best buys came on the winter sale when some Purple label and Canali items I bought got cut down 70%.
I've read through this thread (the recent posts) several times and have concluded that I'm stupid. I too am wondering when the public sale starts? I see a post about the sale starting today but am confused as to whether that is only for Founding Members and the public sale opens later or if the sale has officially opened for everyone?
It sounds like most everything I'm interested in will be excluded anyway but just curious.

The sale that started today is only for Founding Members.
