I've been thinking about spring and summer even though there is a pile of snow outside, so I thought I'd bump this thread and add to it. When I think of spring and summer, I imagine a Dickie Greenleafesque (The Talented Mr. Ripley) look...
Anyone else have any spring/summer movie wardrobe inspiration?
In An Affair to Remember, Cary Grant goes on a cruise and, evidently, packs 4 or 5 different versions of the same suit (different shades/patterns of gray, 3/2, notch lapel, unvented), swim trunks, and a tuxedo for dinner.

1980's stuff never gets much love but I think when done well it looked good. Eddie Murphy always looked good in Trading Places, I felt. Collar pins, DB blazer and coat, always showing cuff. It's hard to get pictures but I saw it on TV the other day and I was surprised how well the suits were made to fit.
