Are my beige pants short?

I recently bought beige Hugo Boss pants in a hurry and now I notice that they might be short. Then again, I do not exactly know what determines a good fit when it comes to beige pants. I usually wear them with Lacoste polo shirts and brown shoes. I use a belt to place the pants at the top of my waist, under my belly button. Anyways, when I walk, my long white socks might show and, when I sit comfortable, pretty much half of my socks show. Is that a bad fit on this sort of pants? The longer pants at Hugo Boss were also very baggy; that's why I didn't buy them.

hm. The best way to give you advice on this is if you post a picture of yourself wearing the pants.
