I bought these pants, somehow didn't notice the pleat, willing to let them go for very little if someone has interest. The cut is roomier than slim, but still a nice cut for a professional setting.
Also, I can get many of these pants in sizes 30-36 in 100% wool in various staple colors in 100% wool. All in the modern cut, nothing slimmer. Please PM if interested in other colors, flat front BR wool pants with tags marked to prevent return.
