Gaziano Girling last fit question

I have read in several threads that the different lasts are the same so that if I am a 9½F in TG73 I will have the same size in DG70 for example.

Is this always true? I am going to do an MTO on the Canterbury and since it is a boot I am wondering if I could take the same size in DG70 as in TG73 without any risk? (I have the StJamesII in TG73 9½F)

always true! not mater the last basic fit should be the same for G&G

Does this go with the deco range as well? Because they do seem a bit narrower.

yes AFAIK the fit is the same they are just a fration longer, there is a picture on the G&G porno thread from one of the US trunk shows

This was my impression when I tried some decos on at the trunk show. my fit in the deco ended up being an 8D in the deco and in their other lasts. edit: To be clear, it was my impression that the deco range fit the same as their other lasts.

I do not agree that all the lasts fit the same. The TG73 last narrows at the toe so early that it fits tighter and feels shorter ( though it isn't) than all the other lasts. I find GGO6 ,DG70 and MH71 fit pretty much the same. I for one won't buy another TG73.

Is the consensus to go down half a size from your US size? I'm a US10.5 so would a UK10 fit me?

How does it compare to Crockett & Jones 348/337 last? Most people go down a full size from their US size for this last. However, when I e-mailed Dean Girling he noted that most people took the same size in C&J and G&G. So I'm confused.

Hmm... Not entirely sure this is what you're after, but the closest I can find ATM is this. Offset to the back is the bowly, which is deco, and I believe (though I could be mistaken) that the Sinatra there is on the TG73.



I will check the camera and my laptop tomorrow to see if I have something better.
