PSA: great deals on Boglioli - Page 3

I have tried two different credit cards and paypal multiple times and am STILL UNABLE to purchase from this sight. I have contacted my bank and threedifferent twice already. Threedifferent says that they accept Visa and that they've checked their system and it's working fine, but whenever I try IWSmile gives this message:
"The company issuing electronic money has denied the use of the card indicated. You are kindly required to contact the bank in order to get more information. "

but when I check with the credit card company/bank they say their is no record of any attempted purchase.

Please, does anyone have any insight or past experiences that might be helpful here?

Sometimes there are problems processing international debit cards on sites like this. If you haven't yet tried a credit card (rather than a debit card with CC logos), you might try that. That got me on another site in the UK once.

Hmmmm. Yeah, I tried both Credit and debit (though the credit card is through my bank, it's only a credit card). Maybe I'll get the gf to try using one of her completely unaffiliated credit cards.

The weird thing is that I would just use Paypal, but in the drop down menu there is no option for the united states - it goes from united kingdom to Vietnam. Very confusing.

Thanks for your help.

this company really is not set up well to handle US business. they list prices in dollars, but charge in euros. ALSO you can only pay in euros. You also can not pay with paypal, and the lagniappe is no VAT refund, which they keep for themselves.

Hmmm, I used paypal to buy from them last September.

I used my credit card and had no problem.

DO NOT BUY FROM Three Different. They are dishonest sellers.

Last fall, I made the mistake of buying a Boglioli suit from them and they sent me a USED suit. The pants were already cuffed -- and at different lengths! The sewn pockets were opened, and the jacket sleeves showed signs of wear.

The suit measurements listed on their website are different from the measurements they emailed me, which are different from the actual measurements of the suit.

I emailed them about a return and they ignored my emails. I spent about $50 (from the US to Italy, fully insured) to sent it back to the address printed on the invoice and they refused delivery. By the time the package was returned to me, the dispute-filing deadline with Paypal had elapsed.

I contacted Paypal and told them Three Different sold used clothing which they misrepresented as new -- which is fraud. Paypal told me they couldn't do anything because the dealine had passed. They did intervene on my behalf by contacting Three Different and asked them to refund me. But Three Different ignored them as well.

If the suit was half way decent, I would have spent some money to have it tailored. But the wool was so coarse, I have never seen such low quality wool.

So I repeat, Three Different is a bad seller. Do not buy from them.

p.s. I will be on vacation until 6/6. So I won't be able to post more on this thread until I am back.
p.p.s Maybe Palpay is no longer affiliated with Three Different due to customer complaints?

i've bought from td in the past. shipping was fast and product was exactly what I had expected.

I made multiple purchases a year ago from td.com and had zero problem whatsoever.

I biught a SC last year and the transaction was fine. I didn't like the fit and sold t here. I am not buying anything his time because of the uncertainty of fit. They used to have a lot of Stewart leather jackets which I would buy if they ever went on sale

those who have purchased - did you get your VAT back? I did not.
^I asked last year and they do not deduct the VAT. But I have the same issue with Yoox and other Italian ebay business sellers,, shipping from Italy to Switzerland (which is not part of EU), I have to pay always custom taxes. But can't complain much, either with Yoox or threedifferent, they have very good prices.
My order placed on May 18 should have arrived here yesterday, but due to a UPS delay I'll get it on Monday. Their site is crap indeed, but never had problems in the past, except a delay due to an item I ordered was sold out and had to choose another one for the same price. I never think of returning items for international transactions, better to resell them.

I've bought from them on 3 different occasions and have had no problems. I did get taxed on the last order for cotton/linen suit a few months back when UPS dropped it off.

charging VAT and not refunding it is illegal.

No matter how fantastic the deal is, this rubs me the wrong way.
