I don't get it. Even I have some of these copies when they first came out. Are there bonus chapters? What do I do after I buy them? Display them? I can't read them lest the price plummets. I guess it's the same argument for collecting comic books, but valuable comic books weren't the best-selling books in the world when they came out.

you can get all the us first eds as a set for less than 100 on ebay all the time...what's with a SINGLE book costing 500?
