I wonder if anyone could recommend a reliable cobbler in central London for re-soling Goodwear-welted and Blake-stitched shoes? Ideally I'm looking for somebody around the Westminster, Victoria, Pimlico, Vauxhall, Lambeth area.

have used them as well and work was excellent. It's my understanding that they provide services for quite a few shoe manufacturers (was also recommended from C&J, but i know they do work for others as well). They do pick-up in central london couple times a week

Fifth Avenue Shoe Repairs, 41 Goodge Street. It's just off Tottenham Court Road. I've had a few pairs resoled there, very happy with the results. Don't go to the other guy Malford posted about.

I second James Taylor. Used them a few times with good results. He's a bespoke shoe maker so knows what he's doing.

Re John Rushton - I have a suspicion that he actually sends repairs to James Taylor...
