The nano zinc oxide product I have (Badger) uses a coating technique that is supposed to make the nano particles larger. I wonder if that product uses the same technique and is just advertising them as non-nano. Edit: Looks like Badger switched to non-nano this year. I would recommend them. http://www.badgerbalm.com/t-sunscree...particles.aspx

I have some Badger sunscreen at home but it leaves a pretty white cast on my complexion and smells pretty funky for a sunscreen. Ingredients are good though. I haven't tried their new formulation yet. I use Blue Lizard now for a general purpose sunscreen.

Sounds like you have the 2008-2009 version. They've changed it a few times, even before the recent change this year. I asked them for an anti-bug/sunscreen combo and they made one soon after (last year). The smell is good (minimal) and no white cast.

I'm using Dermalogica Pure Light SPF 30. It doesn't make my face oily, and is actually a bit drying. Only drawback is that it's a bit expensive.

Here's an interesting database I found:

http://www.ewg.org/skindeep/browse/s...:+moisturizer/

I don't know who EWG is or who funds them, but they rate sunscreens based on chemical toxicity.

Environmental Working Group is a reputable organization with great info on cosmetic and household toxins, they founded Safecosmetics.org
