I find high calves much more aesthetically pleasing than low calves. Especially on women. But I think even a man's physique looks more elegant with high calves than low calves. This goes against bodybuilding standards, but then again most dudes aren't out to be as massive as possible.

+1. I never thought about it but low calves on girls are gross. Wouldn't know about guys.
