At the beginning of my lease, I paid $1500 - $500 as a security deposit, and $100 as the first and last month's rent. I forgot about the first + last month's rent and sent my landlord a check for the current month, which was already paid for. I emailed him and his wife asking whether the check was redundant and they never got back to me. Then I called them and they didn't pick up, so I left them a voicemail to get back to me. They never did. They are excellent landlord and good people, so I doubt they're avoiding me to cash an extra $500, but I do want to have the check voided somehow, seeing as they haven't deposited it yet. I sent the check via billpay on BoA; can I call BoA and get them to void it? What are my options? Edit: wow, i JUST checked my account and he deposited the check!
