Beginners Leg Workout

I used to be 5'11, 85kg with absolutely no muscle mass. 6 months on I'm 63kg and at 9% bodyfat. I'm on a moderate-intensive weight training program supplemented by cardio a couple of times a week. However, since I started weight training, I have neglected leg work.

For fear of looking too top heavy and boosting overall muscle growth, I'm looking for a beginners leg routine. Therein lies the rub. I've grown to love my skinny jeans and as such am scared that with leg training I will not be able to fit into them anymore. I basically don't want a big butt and quads that will make me look stupid in skinnies, much like the fat days.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated. Thank you

So what you want is strength without ANY hypertrophy whatsoever? That will be a hard feat to accomplish, but since you're so untrained you might get some beginner gains and neural adaptation. I suggest you look into squats once you do decide to 86 those Dior Hommes.

I squat and I can still kind of fit into my petite standards. Yeah they're much tighter in the quads, but I can still wear them. Just do deads and squats, front squats do more quads and less glutes so if you don't want a big ass they would probably be better.

If you don't eat to excess you won't get bigger. OTOH I find 501s tight in the legs so what do I know

Thanks for the tips guys. Ended up doing a routine of squats, hamstring curls, leg presses, deads and calf raises. Walking stick at the ready for tomorrow morning.
