Has anyone made suits/jackets/pants using any of their fabrics?
They are a manufacturer/maker, but sell direct to the public as well through ebay.
Comments appreciated. Thanks!

I have purchased two times. The price is great and I couldn't find a nice chalk stripe pattern anywhere. The bespoke suits that were created with Harrison's were great! Richard is a great guy. Trust me you won't be disappointed.

I purchased 5m of Super 160 100% Wool mid grey herringbone weave from them, it looks beautiful. Will be travelling next month and plan to have a suit made with this, I think its going to look spectacular. My wife is trained in textiles and was also impressed with the quality and price!

In regard to their all wool worsted, tonik and arthur harrison flannels, they are very good for their price and deliver a crisp and elegant finish, it is great if you are looking for a vintage vibe fabric.

However, not much designs on their cheaper range.

I ended up also purchasing 3.5m of navy Glen Check from Harrisons (Burley) and took this and my 5m of grey herringbone to World Group (All Seasons Place outlet) in Bangkok in May and negotiated to have two suits mades in an English cut. I started talking about floating canvas, thinking that maybe I'd be able to get half canvassed suits...

I was very very happy to hear that World Group could make both suits for me fully canvas within the 9 day period that I was in Bangkok. Overall a great experience, Danny of WG sketched a rough design, incorporating all of my requirements (thanks Geographicus), ie high armholes, high waist suppression. Had three fittings, the measurements were pretty good the first fitting so when the master tailor came in for the second fitting there were so course corrections but nothing major to fix. On the third fitting I found nothing to change and walked away soon after with the finished articles and a very content look on my face.

I've held off commenting to see how the suits looked and felt after waited a few weeks of wear. The Harrisons fabrics were transmuted into a pair of suits I'm very happy with. These are the first fully canvased suits I've seen, let alone worn and feel so different from what I've worn before. My impressions now are that the Navy Glen check has the most immediate impact, it's very subtle and has a very classic style which was exactly what I was imagining when I bought the fabric. The Grey herringbone seemed more conventional, but with time comes greater and greater appreciation of its subtlety.

I would say that these higher end Harrisons fabrics will have longevity (in terms of maintaining a very pleasant look and wearing well over time) and will give the wearer a fairly unique look to other people on the street (especially the streets of Australia!). Overall a very good buy. I'll be back for more of their product.
