Human life means very little to me at this point in time. You see, I thrive on misery. In the jungle, misery's all you got. But things are different back here in the world, or so they seem. Nobody wants to talk about pain and suffering. Everybody wants everything to be nice and civil. Well, okay then. Let's be nice; let's be civil. And let's drop those guns before I pull this trigger and change the way you feel about me."

Keith David as the crazed Vietnam vet made that movie. I think a sitcom could have been adaptable but it's too late to be of any relevance now.

So the ratings confirm that the show sucks.

Well then how do you explain Seinfeld in the mid-'90s?

They should have consulted Cameron Crowe.

On one of the entertainment shows they said Ashton is not going to be Charlie Harper, but an
entirely new character that will surprise everyone.

The only way the show would be remotely funny is if Ashton's character marries the mother
(similar to Ashton's marrying an older woman in real life).

Then Ashton would be Alan's stepdad and the kid's grandfather and therefore head of that
house and hilarity ensues.

Otherwise Alan, being the oldest becomes head of the house and his character is just
too weak and hapless for that.

Okay, now that would be interesting. Not that I'd watch it, but still.

You should somehow pitch them this idea.
