When is the Next Brooks Brothers Sale? - Page 533

And their ties are going to be 3 for 119.00 as well.

is 3 for 169 shirts the best deal for shirts now that double corporate/corporate doesn't apply to "brooks buys" / the usual 3-for deals on shirts?

similarly, if I want to buy a BB suit, this seems like it'd be the best deal, right? 40% will dwarf double corporate as well... let me know if there's anything I'm missing. day after thanksgiving maybe?

Well, they just had season end clearance where shirts were $50/ea but that didn't include the non-seasonal shirts.  They also had a labor day suit sale for $499.  But these are at least very good prices.  I think the very lowest is usually the after Christmas sale, where they have a percentage off each category plus an extra kicker.

If you're looking for a staple suit, then 40% is close to as good a deal as you'll get. The other date is the Boxing Day sale, which is closer to 50%.

If you're fine with buying something from the clearance section, then getting the Friends & Family 25% off is a better deal. Or the $499 sale they just had (which was basically 20-30% off their clearance section).

Didn't they try this already with the Black Fleece line and the Natural Capsule collection?

Looking forward to the inevitable 80% sale.

Got this email this morning. They're reducing the corporate discount to 25% from the usual 30%.

But they're using "state-of-the-art technology and the world's finest raw materials" for this project!

Oy.  They take and they take and they take.

You can't condition me to all of these sales and then take them away BB!

So corporate sale is now the same as the friends and family sale, except F&F includes sale items.

Anyone know when the next F&F sale might be?

Sadly, bb hasn't inspired me to buy anything from them in the last year or so.  The last time I went into the RBC Plaza while suit shopping for my wedding, I waited for about 30 minutes for SA before just grabbing a few suits off the rack and showing myself into a dressing room.  Their Flatiron shop has just closed too.  I just got an email to renew my corporate membership - I don't know if I can be bothered.

Edit:  I just realized I'm wearing a bb ocbd and chinos as I write this, haha

I think they are aiming for the casual look some companies seem to be going for. The 1%ers compensate by wearing Cuccinelli and Loro Piana. Maybe Brooks is aiming for the middle managers?

News to me that the Flatiron shop closed. Oh well. The RF stuff is always overpriced let alone for school kids and kids are so fat now they can't fit in the RF's Extra-Slim Fit anyway.

I get that they are trying to move upmarket but it's a very competitive arena right now. I don't think consumers cross shop Brooks Brothers and the LP/BC/Kiton tier. Perhaps they are going for the halo effect and making their mainline look more attractive in comparison.

I'm a major fan of RF. Before they added stretch, the chinos were my favorite because they fit slim, but were a solid twill fabric—nothing like the thin, cheap cotton you find on J.Crew chinos, which they're obviously trying to compete with. I also have an awesome cream loose-weave cotton roll neck raglan sleeve sweater from RF that's perfect for cool spring and fall evenings. My wife doesn't bother looking at regular BB women's stuff, but owns a dozen or so RF items. I don't find it overpriced compared to J.Crew. Generally speaking, it's fairly easy to grab on sale, too, so to me, I find it an excellent quality:price ratio.
