When is the Next Brooks Brothers Sale? - Page 494

I see the Black Fleece stuff is already marked down. Will the 66% off be off the lowest price? That would be some real good value for Black Fleece. The sale will be December 26th?

On the other hand with it being in such a unique color scheme it might be by another vendor as it is a unconventional color. And it does not carry the Peal & Co name and is not cordovan leather. Most shoes in Brooks brother under the Peal name are C&J except the cordovan leather which by Alden. Additionally ,the Allen Edmonds shoes should have their name inside the shoe: Allen Edmonds for Brooks brothers.

The description says "Imported" so no way they are Alden.

And these appear to be the same manufacturer and say "made in the UK". CJ? I don't know enough about the soles to know.

Alfred Sargent is also from the UK which BB also uses for their Peal & Co label.

The cordovan shoes that BB has carried for years are Alden, but the cordovan shoes with the Peal & Co. label are all made in England, and I believe they are all C&J.

The soles on those C&J shoes are pretty much identical to the longwing spectators I posted earlier, so I have to assume they are C&J as well.

My understanding is that Brooks brothers have not used Alfred Sargent in quite sometime. As far as C&J being the go to shoe manufacturer for most shoes marked " made in England " at Brooks Brothers, is not necessarily the case as there is another manufacturer they use.

* I had to make a correction "Made in English" was initially typed as Alden when it should have been Crockett and Jones.

Well that's a relief since Alden is American!

I thought the peal & co. Made in England is either Crockett or Alfred Sargent. The way to tell is single nail pattern is Alfred Sargent, double nail is Crockett (maybe I have that reversed). For what it's worth I picked up a pair of Chelsea's maybe a year or 2 ago that's made by Alfred Sargent for brooks and I'm quite happy with them. I was looking at the new peal & co. I'm not impressed with the finishings. I don't like seeing the stitching if I can help it.

I have these boots by Peal & Co on my list to add. I am kind of new to the brown or tan footwear with Navy or Gray suits so this will be my first step.

Trouble with those is they're hard to put on unlike a pair of Chelsea boots.

Yea I know they will not be the easiest however, for 10yrs I had to wear jump boot and they are not the easiest to get on..lol! I am still wondering why black shoes with Navy seems to be looked down on nowadays in the US I thought it was a classic style?

Navy works with either brown or black. I will say that even cheap made in China shoes are putting up a lot of brown shoes lately. So only a matter of time before black shoes are "in" again on styleforum.

It's fine for conservative business dress, but in my eyes, black clashes with brown and navy.

What kind of sale does BB usually have on the 26th? Is it both in-store and online?
