I am thinking about picking up some of the slim fit chinos. Anyone have any experience with them?

Red Fleece compares very favorably to J. Crew's mainline offerings.  I believe the RF chinos fit very similarly to JC's 770s.
Thanks. Right now they are at $35 so I might as well give them a shot. I like standard rise pants and I assume these would be a lower rise but at that price it wouldn't hurt to try them.

I got the 40% card and my SA is trying to order these cordovan shoes for me. Are they made by Alden or AE? By the painted sole they look like Alden to me.

Where do you get the 40% card? It's by mail or email?

Yes, they're lower rise.  I think of RF as "J. Crew for BB."  Just as JC appeals to a younger demographic, so does RF.

Good luck. This would be the best use of 40% off in my opinion. Your SA would be making an exception. This is something that is not unheard of (although I've never had an SA extend an offer beyond what is was intended for). I just picked up some Alden's at 30%. Even at 30% off these cordovan shoes are a great deal.

I have a polo and three chinos and like them. The chinos even have a split waistband. I can't comment on durability because they are all new purchases.

Anyone have a favorite BB SA in Boston? Recently wandered into the Newbury store during the corporate sale last week and was pretty much ignored. Have a few big ticket purchases coming up and want to start developing a relationship, as apparently without one the New England cold shoulder is what I can expect.

The store near the State orange line stop is the same way. I should also mention the selection sucks as much as the SA's so don't waste your time.

Almost every cut is Madison for suits and jackets and they don't stock much of the higher end stuff like Saxxon jackets and such.

Really? They were great to me. There were issues with the brooks brothers card stacking so they just gave me the additional 15% off without opening an account. I left feeling it was the best customer service I've had in a long while. I dealt with Patrick in suits, and Bryan in shirts. Both called me when everything came in after Christmas and shipped everything to me free of charge.

It can be hard to get help especially during corporate days. It's higher volume and they're trying to maximize sales. I would be patient, pick out a few items and politely ask for assistance for fitting.

I usually work with Paul at the newbury location. He's on the second floor and has provided good recommendations/suggestions. He has also helped me call in stock from the central BB warehouse or other locations.

Anyone have experience with the made to measure event? Thinking about giving it a try next time and curious about how it compares to bespoke tailoring from Henry Poole or Anderson & Sheppard?
