Vent and flapped pockets are a no go typically. They can be fixed though.

I'm not so sure about that. Look at RL, http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4488816&parentPage=family

They have flapped pockets.

Not sure if tuxedos are supposed to have higher buttoning points, but the one on this tux seems a little high to me.

So Milano pants sizing is driving me nuts with my recent order below are all cotton, I didn't include the linen ones as I know they shrink a lot.

Winter 2013 - 34" x 32" Milano Corduroy,  actual waist 36" in navy, and 37" in brown.

Summer 2013 - 33" x 30" Milano Light Weight advantage, actual waist 35"

Winter 2012 - 33" x 30" Milano Regular Weight advantage, actual waist 36"

Summer 2012 - 33" x 30" Milano Light Weight advantage, actual waist 35"

Others have similar or different experiences?

I also have noticed there products are quite inconsistent in their measurements in Milano fit (36). As a matter of fact, I had two pairs of chinos tailored this guy and the guy measured all the dimensions of the chinos and said there are discrepancies and between two of them and between all including the last two pairs I had tailored with him in the summer. Most of time is negligible within a 1 cm or 1.5 cm but sometimes is just 5 cm in the thigh or something like this wild.

One of winter 2012 purchases was obviously smaller in length and waste width than advertised so after sending a picture to the CS department, I got a refund and the pair went to a friend of mine.

That is strange. I have observed that all the Milanos which I have measured were from .75 to 1 inch over tagged waist size.

Same here. My three pairs of 33x30 Milanos are pretty much identical.

Hi guys, when is the next big BB sale? I need to get several ESF shirts. I've slimmed down a bit and the slim fit ones are no longer slim enough for me. Thanks!

^Last year on Christmas day (online) and day after Christmas (in-store) was their semi-annual sale with 50% off dress shirts until Jan 3rd.

They have flapped pockets.

Just because RL does something, doesn't make it right.

Vents

The original dinner jackets were made without vents then later offered with side vents. While side vents provide easier access to trouser pockets and are more comfortable to sit in, they can also make the jacket less slimming and somewhat compromise the intended formality of the tuxedo.

The center (aka single) vent is unacceptable not only because of its sporty pedigree (it was designed for horseback riding) but also because it opens up when a man reaches into his trouser pockets thus exposing the seat of his pants and often a white patch of shirt to boot.

Pockets

The double-besomed jetted (slit) hip pocket is the only style understated enough to compliment the dressy dinner jacket. Flap pockets are not appropriate for formal attire’s refined minimalism due to their busier and bulkier design and are simply an attempt by tuxedo manufacturers to save money by using standard suit patterns (although sometimes they will trim the edges of a flap pocket so that the flap can be tucked in or removed if desired).

I mean, Kiton makes extraordinary ties, but that doesn't mean they're always stylish or in good taste just because they're well made and expensive.

My last pair of Milanos were bought last winter, the wide wale corduroys and they are the same size as my older Milanos, 31X30. They all seem to be pretty consistent to me, but I have never actually measured any of them.

Thanks! I'll make sure to monitor the BB site right around Christmas.

It's traditionally buy 4, get 40% off, with an extra 15% off for purchases on 12/25 and 12/26.
