Bought some Brooks Brothers socks which are 65% wool, 35% nylon and made in italy. They were $10 a pair with 25% off. It appears it is from the 386 line.. any ideas on how these will hold up over time?
And in general any opinions on the quality of 386 line? I have seen many items that are made in USA and Italy... and I also bought a black bow tie.

All the 386 socks I've seen were made in Thailand or Malaysia. I thought only the main BB line was italian made.

346 is the outlet line (named for the flagship store's address on Madison Ave) and they do sell Italian made socks. I've got a number of their over the calf wool blend socks, and in my experience, they are a great deal.

subscribing to this thread to make sure I know when the next sale is coming....anyone know the specific dates in September for F&F? I've been wanting to try some of the ESF shirts for a while, but I'll wait until they're on sale.

Best sale to buy shirts is the Corporate incentive sale in October where you get 30% off of the three shirts for $210 deal. BB takes away that 3 for deal during some of its normal sales, like Friends and Family, so that you are only getting 25% off the $88 per shirt price.

That sucks, I didn't realize they took away the 3 for deal during the 25% off F&F....seems almost pointless to buy any shirts during that sale then.

I haven't bought anything at BB in a long time - do I need anything special to get the 30% off during the corporate incentive sale in October?

Just your BB corporate ID card. And, I'm not 100% sure BB will take the 3 for deal away during the F&F sale, but that has been the recent trend.

I always stack the discount during the F&F sale. I'm pretty sure that they don't take away the 3 for during the F&F sale.

No stacking during F&F last Fall, and I can't remember whether there was during the Spring F&F or not. BB now takes the Brooks Buys away during many of the sales. Not all, but at least half or more and it's hit or miss which ones. The only one where they have never taken it away is the Corporate Incentive sale.

Does anyone know if the prices of the Black Fleece stuff that's on currently on sale/clearance will drop any further?

BB will sometimes do a weekend sale where they'll temporarily drop to 60 or 70% off, probably not until later in the season though.

Hmm that's too bad. All the times I have bought shirts I stacked the F&F discount on the 3 /4 for deals.

It's a great deal when they allow it. I usually pick of three shirts during the corporate incentive sale and, at 30% off $220, it ends up being $51 per shirt.

Received a saxxon wool sweater today from BB. I don't know what I was expecting, but I was a bit let down. Maybe I was expecting cashmere levels of softness. How does BB cashmere compare to saxxon wool products?

BB has the most awesome customer service/returns at corporate level. I had a variety of dress shirts I bought over the last year that were still wrapped, stored in my closet, and realized recently I should be sizing down a necksize (these were all 15.5 but I sized down to 14.5/15). I basically sent them 8 shirts bought at different time points either in store or online over the last year, half without receipts and they had no problem with crediting me. Fairly fast too. 1 week after sending the package of random shirts in, I got a nice giftcard for ~ $500 in the mail! :D
Unfortunately, I still dread going into their storefronts b/c I find their reps rude or unhelpful in general (at Century City and Rodeo/BH). But their corporate center and phone customer service is beyond amazing.

Yeah corporate service is always great. Feel really bad for a Stanford SA since I got a stained BBBF shirt or I took it to him to exchange and then they ran out of stock. He mailed me the gift card but for some reason I never got it. He got me another after without hesitation. I would love to give him some commission but don't really buy any BB stuff. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Rodeo / BH staff, all were friendly though not very knowledgeable. And the parking helped as I need to stop by Leather Soul for some Saphir

I'm told that the next Friends and Family (25% off) will be the third week of september, and corporate incentive (30% for corporate incentive members) will be mid October.

I wasn't too jazzed by the fall Black Fleece collection, but it looked surprisingly good when I tried it on in store. My experience with a lot of Thom Browne and Black Fleece is that the pieces look like something I would never be able to pull off, then I try it on and change my mind.

I like this sport coat, but I have no idea when I'd be able to wear it other than holiday parties. With jeans I felt like the world's best dressed lumberjack.

Materials are nice all around but almost all blazers are Thailand now which is really bugging me as price stayed the same. Anybody see the fall BBBF boot lineup yet?
