Does anyone know how long the BB sale lasts? I'll arrive in NYC on the 24th.. will the sale still be on?

Previous Semi-Annual discounts looked like the below; for those in the know, would these be the same as what we'll see after Father's Day?

Semi-Annual Sale. The discounts vary by item and some of the categories are for “select items only”. Regardless, it’s probably worth holding off on any Brooks Brothers purchases if you can.

What is the consensus on the quality and durability of BB wool trousers? I'm thinking of picking up 2 pairs of pants for business casual wear (Regent fit garbadine plain front trousers). I'm assuming these will fit like parachute pants on my slim frame and will need to be tailored.

I had been waiting for a couple months for Howard Yount to restock a particular pant but they haven't been re-stocked so I'm going with BB. The semi-annual sale is some time in June?

Why do you think BB raised their C&J prices?

I noticed that the CJ Lowndes is cheaper than the BB double monk. Was it always like this?

I have some that are two years old and still going strong.  I like the quality for $85 per pair of pants.

Given these numbers last year and the fact that suits should be 30% off starting Tuesday is there any benefit in waiting til the semi-annual sale to buy a suit this year? In other words, does anyone expect the discount on suits to get any better after Father's Day?

No, it will only be 30% off.  December 26th is the only time you get 30% off plus an additional 15-20%.

The reason that I'm looking to wait is that I can purchase everything at once and also can stack the 15% discount for opening a BB credit card on that day (I plan on basically purchasing an entirely new working wardrobe, so I'd prefer to get it all knocked out next week than piecemeal over the course of this week). That said, if it comes out that the discount next week on suits will be 25%, then I'll purchase the suits tomorrow and then perhaps shirts next week (or from a different manufacturer altogether). Therefore, I am hoping to get information on which sale is better (or if they're equivalent) before tomorrow!

Is it worth waiting for just an SC purchase?

I doubt it, but without the actual SA details for this year, it's hard to know.

BB gabardine wool pants are very durable especially if they fit well. They will also be part of the Semi-Annual Sale.

The discount for tailored clothing will be the same. The email above is pretty accurate except that some restrictions apply. Corporate Discount cannot be combine on top of the Semi-Annual Sale. The following merchandise will be excluded Harrys of London Shoes and Belts, Edward Green, Cordovan Shoes, Made-To- Measure/ Special Order Clothing, Taxes, Shipping & Handling, Monogramming, Engraving, Alterations & Personalization, and the purchase of Gift Cards.

What is normally the best time (apart from near Christmas) to grab leather accesories?

I was thinking of getting the Cordovan Card Case. http://www.brooksbrothers.com/Cordovan-Card-Case/609F________BLCK__________,default,pd.html?contentpos=69&cgid=0479
