I was informed that their inventories are out of stock even in other stores, so I am pretty sure that the inventories in their BBBF website is pretty much inaccurate.

You're probably better off asking in this thread, but I've never had any issue with any brands due to my height, but I also don't have a tiny frame.

I have suits from Brooks Brothers, Donna Karan, Valentino, Calvin Klein, to name a few.

Hey guys, I need advice on sizing. I am starting at a professional position and need some dress shirts. I've been wearing 16/33 slim, but they are too baggy in the waist for my liking. I see the extra slim fit is 3" narrower in chest and only 1" narrower in waist. I feel this would be too tight on me. I'm 5'11", 170lbs, 40" chest and 33" waist. It would be nice if the extra slim fit was 1" narrower in chest and 3" narrower in waist. I went by my local store but they had ZERO extra slim 16/33 shirts in stock. Other advice or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm 6', 172, 42, 35 and the ESF works for me.

It all depends on your chest and shoulders.  I have to go with the slim fit because, while ESF fit me in the waist, it is too tight in the chest and shoulders.  FWIW, I wear a 16/34 in the slim fit and am 6'2 and 190 pounds.  Also, the BB stores keep try-on shirts in every fit and size so you can see if the ESF works for you.  If your SA did not suggest this, you should go back and ask to try on the ESF in your size.

I also ran into this issue. I owned a dozen of the ESF shirts. I wore them in 16-35 even though my true neck size is half an inch smaller, simply because with the 16 the point-to-point measurement was minimally more generous. Wearing the ESF, I experienced fairly severe button strain from the second to fourth button, so in June during the Semi-Annual, I bought a dozen of the Slim shirts in 15.5-34 and simply took them to a tailor to have darts put in. I do not understand why there is such a marginal difference between the Slim and ESF in the chest relative to the bigger increase in the waist measurement.

I think your only potential solution is to either buy the Slim shirts and pay your tailor a visit or go bespoke. The only issue with the latter option is that if you continue exercising and further develop your physique, you will become even more musclebound and begin outgrowing your custom clothing as I sadly have.

If you try to ESF try the slim fit in a 15.5, see how the body fits, they can move the button on collar .25" making it like a 15.75" but it'll slim the body down. Might not fit, but worth a shot since you are trying on a shirt anyhow.

But as hellodock mentioned, you can always get the shirt slimmed in the body or go mtm/bespoke

Question about Milano jacket fit in the chest vs. Fitz.  Is it the same, or do people size up?  I'm a 39R in a Fitz.  Am I a 39R in a Milano or a 40R?

I'd size up. And if you're between R and L go with L. Milano runs short as well as trim.

I have a question about the current selection of outerwear. Should I be holding my breath waiting for some of these to go on clearance or will the prices hold until the next storewide sale? I have read through the posts from the early part of 2012 and don't see anything.

I'm roughly the same size in the fitz; definitely go up to a 40 in the Milano.

Is shipping no longer free when ordered through a SA?
