You're probably better off asking in this thread, but I've never had any issue with any brands due to my height, but I also don't have a tiny frame.
I have suits from Brooks Brothers, Donna Karan, Valentino, Calvin Klein, to name a few.
Hey guys, I need advice on sizing. I am starting at a professional position and need some dress shirts. I've been wearing 16/33 slim, but they are too baggy in the waist for my liking. I see the extra slim fit is 3" narrower in chest and only 1" narrower in waist. I feel this would be too tight on me. I'm 5'11", 170lbs, 40" chest and 33" waist. It would be nice if the extra slim fit was 1" narrower in chest and 3" narrower in waist. I went by my local store but they had ZERO extra slim 16/33 shirts in stock. Other advice or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm 6', 172, 42, 35 and the ESF works for me.

It all depends on your chest and shoulders. I have to go with the slim fit because, while ESF fit me in the waist, it is too tight in the chest and shoulders. FWIW, I wear a 16/34 in the slim fit and am 6'2 and 190 pounds. Also, the BB stores keep try-on shirts in every fit and size so you can see if the ESF works for you. If your SA did not suggest this, you should go back and ask to try on the ESF in your size.

I think your only potential solution is to either buy the Slim shirts and pay your tailor a visit or go bespoke. The only issue with the latter option is that if you continue exercising and further develop your physique, you will become even more musclebound and begin outgrowing your custom clothing as I sadly have.
If you try to ESF try the slim fit in a 15.5, see how the body fits, they can move the button on collar .25" making it like a 15.75" but it'll slim the body down. Might not fit, but worth a shot since you are trying on a shirt anyhow.
But as hellodock mentioned, you can always get the shirt slimmed in the body or go mtm/bespoke
