Peal & Co Shell Cordovan Cap Toe Boots. Made by Crockett & Jones. Spectacular boots. Zero wear on the soles, no sign that these have ever been tried on. A few scratches from the metal eyelets touching the other boot. My new Grail Boot. Sole measurements are W 4.5, L 12 7/8. My impression is that these are "boot sized" and that they may fit an 11 or even 11.5. Of course it all depends upon the socks. Marked 10.5. This is the current model in the BB catalog which retails for $998. $595.

This is the best deal, built better than Alden, looks better (IMO, this is not dressy boots, chunkier, in a charming way), and I paid more than this price for sure. Regarding to fit, definitely agree about half size, though not sure about full size difference. Probably in between in reality.

The cordovan cap toe boot is teh sex. I'd have made a serious run at it if it had been an 8.5D.

^^Agreed. I bought these this past winter and absolutely love them. I am US8.5D and found these to be close to TTS with maybe a little room for thicker socks in the winter.

This is about right. If sizing down, size down a half size and they will work with a dress sock

That's interesting - I have been eyeing these boots for a long time now but the price ....

Do you use them for casual wear and/or business casual and/or dress boots? And did you buy them at full retail?

Oh, this is a GOOD price. I bought mine here for almost $100 more IIRC. I used it for nearly all occasions and even with a suit when the weather was really nasty (and here in Chicago, it was a very difficult winter).

I should have clarified I was referring to the Brooks Brother retail price that, when I saw it last, was around $1000 on their website and not OP's price.

OP's price is excellent, I paid around 650. I don't use these as dress boots, but some might (I use C&J Northcote as dress boots). This can work as dress boots if that's your style.

I just purchased that boot for $750. And that was after 30% off and free shipping. Great deal here

Great price on the shell boots, cheaper than I ever saw them from bb. I own and love them. they are kind of hidden here op, I'm sure they would sell quickly if more visible Fwiw I am an 8.5d Barrie last, 8.5e ae #5 last, and a 9d in most tts lasts and wear 9d in these. The 8.5d were too snug for me...but mb bc they are boots they can fit a touch large ?

My 11s are really more like 11.5 in length. I can wear them because the width is American D size not 11.5D. I would have been better with a 10.5 like most C&J for Brooks Bros.
