You must have missed the part where tibo said someone messed up the shipping process, which resulted in the parcel being returned.

Therefore, tibo is not at fault for not collecting the parcel.

So thats another sin to be imposed on Stil, failure to state buyer's address properly. Hah!

Anyway, its very common for the post office, including mine, failing to inform me there is a parcel to be collected at their main offices and I have to rely on the seller's tracking number to find out it actually reached me!

ah, but Hitler paid for international express with tracking if he had gone with international first class he would have had the same experience as both the OP, and Stalin in lifting the siege of Leningrad

This has happened to me a couple times too. Huge fan of tracking numbers.

Have you encountered what happens when the frigging post office forgot to inform you of your parcel and after 10 days, returned the damn thing to the seller, or even worse disposed of the damn thing when the seller did not put a return address?

This thread is going nowhere. Some people should read my original post and the title of the thread: "confused as to what to do".

It wasn't a matter of asking premier service. It was merely about making sure I wasn't leaving $500 out in the blue. I'm happy to hear that for some people here this is petty money - truth is, for me, it's not.

It also wasn't about complaining it took 14 days to get the shoes to my door. I've bought from international sellers as much as everyone here and it sometimes took much longer for a package to be despatched. That's not the issue. The issue was I didn't know whether the payment was acknowledged.

Anyway, I'm sure we won't come to an agreement here between the people who think I've been reacting too promptly (and thank you in the first place for the very classy insults coming out of nowhere from apropos, really acting like a gentleman on this one*), and the ones who believe I was right. So why don't we stop it here, since I've got the shoes, and am perfectly happy with them?

*On that note, I would almost be tempted to look back into my PMs archive and post the story here, because it wasn't quite how he's trying to put it. And for Pete's sake, it happened 3 years ago, it's time to move on -- haven't you got anything else to do with your life?

I honestly couldn't give a shit about whether I'm considered a gentleman or a fraud, especially by an e-special flower on teh internetz. On that note, yeah, maybe it's time to move on.
