See, if I were the type, I would have happily shared that same forbes article because I'm proud of it for stuff like that (and would be a heavy user if I still lived there).

I'd dispute the 9-months comment though. If I can bike year round in chicago, I can bike year round in MN. A little colder and snowier (snow's the most fun part of winter biking!), but its nothing like riding literally 5 feet away from lake michigan on a windy, frozen day.

It's not necessarily the snow. It's the ice, crap on the road, cold, and drivers (for places there aren't paths), magnified over a several-mile distance. Biking into the city is a pain, biking around the city isn't too bad if you have good tires and it's been >48 hours since the snow.

Yeah...didn't we have a thread years ago asking for a nemesis? I beat my chest in that thread and wound up with Iamstillmatt as a nemesis, which went very, very poorly for me.
