You do not seem like a man who stops himself from posting thoughts.

I've been growing increasingly annoyed by the improper usage of "myself" by people I work with. "Myself" is not used to replace "me" or "I" yet people constantly do it to try and sound intelligent.

"Myself" has more syllables than "me," and so therefore it is more sophisticated. It is like "utilize" in that regard.

I think more people use it out of fear of mis-using "me" or "I" than out of flaunting false intelligence.

Lord-a-mighty, is it really that difficult to know when to use "I" and when to use "me?" Me am concerned about our civilization if this is true.

If in doubt (concerned about misuse) folks can just go all Rickey Henderson/Bob Dole and refer to themselves in the third person.
