Good question. I've wondered what the next generation of kids will be like when they realize that their entire upbringing from day 1 (I've seen some seriously nasty newborn pics) was shared with everyone on Facebook. They'll either rebel, and hide everything from everyone or take it to an entirely new level of openness.

seriously, you guys must be on a different facebook than me. I don't see most of this dumb crap. The worst I have is someone I don't know but share a group membership with who spams my feed with 8-12 pictures at a go. Granted, they're good landscape/nature pictures, but still. I can only take in so much beauty at a go.

There was a book a few years ago called Times Eye so something by Arthur C Clarke and another author. Long story short, they find a way for people to be watched 24/7. The public reacts be either living in the dark wearing masks and being anonymous or by walking around naked and having zero inhibitions. From what I see one Facebook, the latter is more likely.
