I can't believe something I just read:

 

"Si mee gustas peroo primero corrigee tus faltas de ortografia.!" - 

 

Translation: "Yes I like you but first correct your spelling!"

 

I'm not a grammar Nazi, but how someone can ask to someone to correct their spelling when you have a terrible spelling?

 

They way that she should wrote that in spanish is as follows: "Si me gustas, pero primero, ¡corrige tus faltas de ortografía!" In her sentence there is an extra "e" in "me", an extra "o" in "pero" another extra "e" in "corrige", the accent in "ortografía" is missing and the puctuation mark is not placed correctly. What is worst... people liked her status. 

 

Another one... her birthday is on february 6.... and she's putting on Facebook that she is excited cause her birthday is coming.

Sort of back on topic. Over the weekend one Paul Ali Slater during the commission of a burglary managed to wake up the mother and two children. She did what any sensible woman would do, grabbed her kids, cell phone and 38 caliber handgun and ran into a locked room. Instead of fleeing the house Mr Slater decided that it would be a good idea to break into the room in which the woman was hiding. Woman fires 6 shots & misses with one. Mr Slater to his intellectual credit decides that this would be a good time to flee. He makes it to his car, drives a bit and then crashes. When the police show up, he begs for help telling them he was dieing.

I have no sympathy at all for Mr Slater, but I do feel a bit for his family. I can just see his niece or nephew making up a FB page for him and showing family photos and listing his high school & technical
school. I can just see some kid making the page and putting the photos of a happier time in neat order. Kind of pathetic.

I don't have friends to celebrate my birthday...

My dumb friend posted photos of herself at a nude beach. It was all over the office like wildfire. She was fired for it too, which I found ridiculous, not mentioning fascist.

She took them down already. It was on a nude beach.

Why did she get fired for that???

Where did she post the pics? If she posted them on facebook then the company sucks. If she posted them to the company listserv then I can understand why she was fired.

Somebody I knew got fired for posting a Facebook picture of herself drinking a beer at a "Bitch Bingo" event. She was an elementary school teacher, legal drinking age, private Facebook page. One of her co-workers was her Facebook friend ("friend") and reported her to the administration and they pressured her to resign because it was "conduct unbecoming a teacher and role model."

Holy Jeebus! Isn't that grounds for her to sue the employer?

Almost certainly not. Especially since she resigned instead of being fired.

Maybe if she's in California which I think has some weirdo law regarding social media, but nowhere else.

That is why no good comes out of having a Facebook account. An Instagram account, on the other hand, is the gift that keeps on giving.
