Why am I not surprised to learn that you have a "favorite Paulo Coelho book"?

Veronika isn't exactly an "alternate" spelling in the same way as Duwayne (for example), it's the standard spelling of the name in Central and Eastern Europe.

I never claimed it was alternate spelling. It's a very pretty name, that's all.

I can't stand when they constantly post the photos saying "If you ignore this, you want your xxxxx to die" or something along those lines. It's led me to the point where I'm about to start deleting people.

This kind of picture pisses me off. It's the typical Canadian mentality; thinking that if we somehow prove we're better than the Americans, we're the best. Ask Mr Dziekański for his opinion of the lovable RCMP....oh wait, you can't because they killed him.


...forgive my rant on this one; it just touched on something from facebook that pisses me off. As Canadians we lack identity; due to the fact that we had an easy seperation from British rule, had no civil war, or any other binding event upon which to build our identity; so we define ourselves as "not americans". I see way too many things like this trying to raise our spirits by showing how un-american we are.

Idiots not realizing that calories is irrelevant in this context and that if it were measured in volume or mass it would be completely different. 100 calories of Broccoli is about 300 grams. 100 calories of top sirloin is about 50 grams.

^It's also not true. 100 calories of raw broccoli is about 8.3 grams of protein; 100 calories of steak ("steak" is not very specific...looks like lean flank so I'll use that) is 15.6 grams (numbers from fitday.com).

Just "steak" is listed at 10.9 grams per 100 calories.

The next person on my feed who posts another one of those fucking ERMAHGERD memes will be garrotted with a mouse cable.

Okay, SRS answer. I use wireless as well, but I keep an old wired mouse in the cabinet for self-defense purposes.
