First Cook Book recommendation - Page 2

for the most part I disagree with the internet thing. I find the internet is great if I know exactly what I want to cook but I don't know how to cook it. But most of the time I don't necessarily know what to make and get inspiration from browsing my books. And, more importantly, there are plenty of dishes that I've never heard of that I find in my books that lord knows I never would have sumbled across on the internet.

No recommendations for Alton Brown? His I'm Just Here For The Food v2 is a very cool book. The cutup cow diagram is a nice touch. Especially good reading if you're a nerd.

I am the first person to ditch the real world for the internet when able but it is absurd to say that you can find the same thing online that you can in a good cookbook. Even finding something good online that you can't find in a cookbook is a challenge.
