The Official Vanda Fine Clothing Thread - Page 35

Friends, romans, Vanda countrymen:

Does anyone have the navy cashmere? It seems to have some kind of pattern or texture owing to the bicolor weave, but it's tough to make out on the studio shots.

Thanks!

I have it, slight pattern in it of slightly lighter navy, can take a picture tomorrow

Sadly this was the best I was able to do, quite hard material to capture

I appreciate your posting! So there does seem to be a checked pattern of some kind, but it's subtle?

Also, how fuzzy does the tie appear when you're wearing it? Does its being cashmere seem really obvious, or does it just read as a regular tie?

As you can tell I'm on the fence about this. I like the idea of a solid-ish blue tie with a texture or subtle pattern, but I don't like the idea of a tie that screams "CASHMERE!!!" you know?

Its subtle, you can see it close up in the right light, otherwise it just seems like the weave.

Its on par with a wool tie, slightly fuzzy up close, but not more than that.

This is fairly subtle and easily my favourite tie from them.
But i go for soft, ties ,wool ties and grenadine.

Thanks so much. You're a hero for posting all that detail. I really appreciate it.

No problem at all.
If you have missed it, you have seen that you can order swatches?

Oh yeah, I have a forest of swatches over here. I'm just impatient (aren't we all?) and I think that that particular tie is close to selling out.

Yes, I thought I bought the last one. So I think it's the last one left now.
And I think that if you like softer ties you can't find better, and it dressed both upp and down really well.

Ah you should've just dropped me a note! Anyway, thank you Aieyric for sharing the picture. The fabric does have a subtle check-like weave to it.. not the best choice of names I'll admit! And cashmere does look like wool from a distance, but it feels much, much softer.

Just a quick note to let everyone know that we've made some improvements recently - we have relocated our workshop last week, and we've relaunched our website just a day ago! You can now order 15 variations of length and widths as well as custom monograms much, much easier than before. Have a go at the new site and let us know what you think.

Here's a snap of the retail space in our new workshop:

Drop by and say hi you happen to stop by Singapore!

Just in case of remarriage? Sounds good.
