^ Nice repps. Is that the H&S Gunclub lurking in the corner of the first pic? Have had that tie for 1+ years and love it.

Can no longer afford Drakes. So I gave Vanda a shot. Gorgeous?

Drake's and Vanda have quite different construction and so their ties have quite a different feel to them - Vanda's ties are a lot lighter.

Vanda uses great silks and their construction is top-notch. They also tie a wonderful double-four-in-hand knot.

I've got four Drake's ties in my wardrobe, but ten or more Vanda ties, so it's pretty clear that I think that they are gorgeous!

So pretty

The navy-light blue fancy wool - beautifully dry to the hand. Can't wait to wear it this week.

Is it standard practice now for Vanda ties to NOT have a tie loop on the back of the large blade?

This means that you will not find conspicuous brand tags that get in the way, nor tie keepers that you don’t (and shouldn’t) use anyway, nor conspicuous woven brand tags that get in the way

I cleared out all my Drakes recently in favor of Vandas. Drakes makes a great tie, but I prefer Vanda's style of construction and how their ties "express" each individual fabric. And I like supporting Gerald and Diana.

Vanda ties have never had a keeper loop.

Vanda ties are beautifully made and always tie a perfect knot. Their finishing is certainly superior to Drake's ties, and they are better value, especially for 5-folds and 6-folds.

My only complaint is that fabric selection is very limited and they never seem to have great English fabrics (madders, neats, etc.). I suppose they must be very expensive to import to Singapore.

Yes, and they won't even add one by request on custom orders, which, unfortunately, is a deal breaker for me. I think their product is otherwise great, but the no-keeper thing just doesn't work for me. Fortunately for them, they seem to have enough customers who don't share my view.
