Just another glowing review for Vanda. I received my first Shantung tie this week and couldn't be happier. The service was fantastic with constant communication and updates. I ordered a custom tie and still had it made and sent sooner than many OTR purchases from other stores!

I've 8 or 9 of their ties and they're all exquisite items. Great to be able to support an artisanal concern with such a focus on quality in terms of materials and workmanship and lovely people too


So far I've managed to resist the Shantungs but suspect I won't be able to hold off much longer

Are all of their ties unlined? Do they make lined ones as well?

The navy shantung I purchased from the is fantastic in the way it knots and drapes. I want to buy all of the ties in their web store

Having exchanged emails with Diana, my sister who lives in Singapore, made an appointment to visit and pick up a tie for me. She told me that Diana and Gerald are an absolutely lovely couple and the ties and pockets squares are beautiful.

 

When I first spoke to Diana she asked me which tie I wanted and that they would make the tie and have it ready for when my sister visited (!). I ordered the green herringbone in raw silk:

Every other Monday is a dangerous day now in my house...I suspect my wife is contemplating hiding the plastic from me until the tie/square-lust has passed. But it never will...
