In a perfect world, I'd swap the colors of 300 and 511, but I'm pretty content as is.

Do you find the 300 versatile? I'm a little paranoid about how light it is. Maybe my eyes just aren't used to it.

I'm skipping right to the end and saying it's not a super light grey. Most people's reaction to 0511 as being the lightest grey in the mid-weight Frescos is that 'it's not as light as I expected'. For that, you need to jump down in weight. However, I think J&J Minnis are saving people from themselves. Anything lighter than 0511 would be too much. I tend never to go super light nor super, super dark.

I have a few pairs of trousers from the 0511. They are quite versatile (just as versatile as the 0300 in my opinion, but noticeably darker) and not that hot wearing in the heat of summer.

It depends. I think they look great with a blazer or other blue coats, because I like the contrast. Similarly, I have a (gasp) dark grey coat that looks good with them. I also have a few fall/winter coats that are light in color that I don't like with a darker bottom, like the 301. However, I don't think 300 looks as good with brown coats compared to the darker 301. Medium and dark brown looks better with mid-grey to me. My odd coat collection tends to work better with 300, but that's particular to me.

I've never noticed anything.

I have both. 0511 is mid gray, very close to the original Brisa gray if you remember that. The 300 is light gray and goes well with tan jackets. Vox has a suit in it that I believe he's posted here.

Here is a photo comparison of the 300 and 511. The close-up makes the 300 look much more mottled than it really is, but this should give a good feel for how light in color the 511 is in comparison to the 300.

The close-ups really show the texture and variegation that makes them so yummy.

Yep! Hence the drool. :^) Thanks for the photograph! Really shows why I like both fabrics so much and why I consider Fresco "the Flannel of the summer!"

Those pictures are nice,Zb. I was going to get the 300 but wasn't sure about 511,it is really nice and I much prefer it to 500. I'll get a suit in 500 with two extra pants.

I am new the bespoke world, and I've learned a great deal by reviewing/reading forum discussions. This is a great community. My first commissions are Minnis 0511 and 0517, I should have suits (SB, 2 button, trying to keep it simple for the first few commissions) by mid May. I am excited, they're both lovely colors.
