This really is your chance to own a piece of history. This is the watch that started my obsession with the Megaquartz 2,4 family and it is breaking my heart it is going up for sale.

Singularly the most accurate (and some would argue most advanced wrist watch ever made) was the Megaquartz 2.4Mhz (denoting it resonated at 2.4 000 000 per second) this caliber boasted an accuracy of 1 second per month 5 times that of any quartz watch produced to that date and still hailed by many as the the most accurate watch ever made.
The caliber 1510 Megaquartz f2.4Mhz was produced in 1000 units, mostly Stainless Steel with a few examples in Solid 18K gold so to say this watch is rare is an understatement of biblical proportions!

Fundamentally this watch is the same watch as the famous Marine Chronometer but in (what some would argue) a much more attractive package!!
This example has genuinely and honestly only been worn about a dozen times in it's entire life. I bought the watch 18 months ago from the Omega "museum" at STS (Swiss Time Services) - the only authorised repair center in outside of Bienne. The owner of STS displayed this watch since buying it new in 1982 after spending 10 years sitting in a store cupboard and then appearing in the window of his nearest Omega AD. In his own words "˜nearly earned him a divorce, even in 1982 it cost him and arm and a leg and he spent two days sleeping on the sofa as payment for it". Sounds familiar, I know I have been there, guess some things in watch collecting never change.

Effectively what I am saying is this watch is as close to NOS as you will ever likely find!
Condition:
Case: Mint/NOS and one of the very few that is so close to NOS
Dial: Mint/NOS, absolutely no cracks or damage what so ever, perfect with amazing sparkle
Bracelet: Mint/NOS
Case back: Mint/NOS with clear logo
Hands: Mint/NOS
Box: Mint Omega soft padded case
Both the MQ2.4 1510 and the 1511 MC had an accuracy of 1 second per month (as reinforced in the period sale brochure). As there we only 1000 of each produced, with the exception of special editions and one off's this makes them amongst the rarest Omegas ever made. Further more they were the most advanced and accurate wrist watches ever made by the company and without doubt one of the most accurate watches ever made (we have to recognize to Citizen Mega4 and Junghams 4Mhz) the technology has still not been surpassed. Like the McLaren F1 in the car world they were the realization of technological advancement, occasionally imitated and often revered!
I am looking for £2400 ono DROP £2280 on it (shipped to anywhere in the world via DHL 3 day express) - similar models (if you can find one) go for £2500-£3000, but remember this is basically a NOS, fully serviced and worn less than a dozen times in it's nearly 40 year life example. It is perfect, boxed, with Omega/STS "birth certificate" and fully serviced!
Update: Would also consider trades - let me know what you have
