Allen Edmonds Strand 10E walnut calf

In mint condition, these AEs are stamped "W" (worn) to indicate they were tried on in-store; as the pictures show, they look as-new. 10E on the 5 last fits like a 10D, in my opinion, as these run a bit narrow.

Is the width in the heel narrow too? 10E are normally too wide in the heel for me.

Are ya sure that's what the "W" is there for . . . . ?

The W on Allen Edmonds shoes signifies that they are factory seconds. However, I've found in most cases the flaw or flaws are minor if they are even noticeable.

Or some SF'ers attest that the "W" means that they are factory "thirds".
