^ I agree. The players he has spent money on vs. the ones we wouldn't and let go is what has irked me the most the past few years. I liked picking up Manny for the stretch run. Wasn't thrilled about resigning him though for anything more than a year. Didn't understand the Jones and Schmidt signings when they were made. Just a lot of frustrating moves.

Trading for Manny was brilliant - resigning him for over $20M a year when he had no other suitors was stupid. Another stupid trade was the McDonald for Dotel deal - wtf? Develop a starting pitcher for years then trade him for a few months of a sucky reliever? That's pure stupid Colletti behavior. I just want a smart, rich owner that will have the sense to see that the most consistently successful teams have smart dynamic front offices.

Agreed. We will see what happens. That Dotel trade was definitely another WTF? moment.
