Another MTO for Summer 2013:
Mixed Media longwing shoes with orange dainite sole.
This style http://www.selectism.com/news/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/trickers-black-longwing-05.jpg but using Brown calf and scotch grain.

Hi Zipphy,Can you please tell me the colour of the Scotchgrain Stow boot shown in the comparison with the Stubby Stow?I really like that shade!

It's just described as "tan scotch grain" on the invoice.
They were from the Bureau Belfast.

I think it's this color https://www.shoehealer.co.uk/Tricker_s/Custom_Made_Options/Tan_Burnished_Scotch_Grain_2085.html

Thanks for your speedy reply!

I'm organizing a group order of Tricker's boots. Their official model name Galosh but since it's so much fun to name things, let's call these Kahvi boots. (Kahvi is Finnish word for coffee.)

Basically they are longwing boots. They should look more or less like the pair in the first picture (see below). However there are some differences: Kahvi boots will have natural colored welt, brown Dainite rubber sole and dark laces. The pair in the second picture (see below) has many similarities with Kahvi boots, such as upper color and welt color.

Kahvi boot details:

Model: Longwing Galosh Boot
Last: 4444
Width: 5 (normal)
Color: Coffee Burnished Calf
Binding: Dark Brown Binding
Lining: Natural Calf Lining
Pull Loops: Dark Brown Pull Loops
Eyelets: Brass Eyelets
Laces: Dark Brown Waxed Cord Laces
Welt: Barbour Welt in Natural Finish with White Welt Stitching
Sole: Dainite Sole in Brown

If you are not familiar with Tricker's sizing please contact Richard from Shoe Healer: infoATshoehealer.co.uk.
Or then you could ask for help in some Styleforum thread.

One pair will cost 375 pounds (inside EU) or 312.50 pounds (rest of the world) including shipping. The boots will be paid in two entries: 100 pounds on confirmation of order and the balance when the are ready for dispatch. The payment will be made to Shoe Healer, most likely via PayPal.

The minimum order is six pairs. I'll take one pair so five more buyers are needed.

I hope about three weeks is enough to find enough buyers. So, the deadline is April 28th 2013.

Please send me a personal message if you are interested.

There are 2 people trying to kick start a group order for basically the same thing: longwings.

Is it wise to do that?  You will need 10 more people that is harder to get; why not consolidate, and have just one order and 4 more buyers?

I would be interested but I would like the 4497 last and tommi's spec with one variation: racing green lining and orange tabs.

I'd be up for it in either the 4497s or 4444 last, but with wheat cavalier like the top shot. I already own a pair of coffee Stows and I feel that coffee makeups are among the most common being released by vendors.

Obviously the shoe design has been named for coffee, so I doubt I'll win this one :)

I believe the longwings of the first picture feature a natural welt. The differenece comes from the contrast with upper and danite if Im not mistaken.

What's the price for a cordovan bulk make up?
Sounds nice apart from the sole.

Approx £412.00 gbp plus tax per pair.  I have spoke to Richard at shoe healer and he said that he is sure he will be able to do something with the sole.

Regards Chris

Hi.

I am very new at this kind of thing but after discovering that Shoehealer is in fact in my hometown & that I struggle to leave empty handed every time I call in for a "browse" here is a pic of my new Lollipop red Tricker's Eaton in waxy leather.

I love the orange lining & loops & they make a nice change to my other pair of Tricker's that Richard at Shoehealer calls the Austerity Stow which as I'm sure you'll all know is a Stow minus the broguing.

Mine are in Navy with tan laces which I swapped to from the original white as the contrast was a bit harsh for my taste.

I do have my number next to a pair of Eaton in Iris Cordovan which are due in May but probably would prefer the Stow if I'm honest.

I will keep an eye on the group buys & join in on anything that looks nice.

Loving some of the ideas you all come up with.

Jonny.

Here is a pic of my navy Stows along with a belt made for me by Sarah at The Leatherworker.

I emailed her a photo & the match is near perfect.

I am waiting for her to send me some red leather samples to try & match Tricker's Lollipop just now.

This does all get very addictive!
