Anyone notice the "Charles" Richard put up on his facebook page ?
Yeah the Charles model looks great in that orange cordovan! I wonder how that color will look after some wear.

So I'm thinking of a brogue possibly long wing in dark brown zug grain contrasting with dark brown smooth leather and orange binding and lining. Too much ?? Would love to hear some thoughts.

I would definitely be in for this. I have no preference re: the sole, but no speedhooks for me.

If by rubber sole you mean dainite, then yes.
Don't really care one way or the other about speed hooks.

I was really thinking cherry cordovan just like pictured, but I'll ask in the main Tricker's topic see if anyone has a pair and can tell us how's the patina after 6 months.
I don't want to end up with pink cordovan biggrin.gif
I suppose Richard can tell us how this color is evolving.

Yes, I meant dainite (either ridegeway, medway or more common studded), but I suppose you're meaning dainite studded.

Speed hooks for me because I want it to look a bit like a classy military boot.

I would be interested in the super boot in navy cordovan
post #418 of 1322
Richard told me he's got in production the Hermann in navy calf, but not cordovan.
I was just throwing the idea, I'll do the red cordovan with speeds hooks on my own then biggrin.gif

Actually, the 'oxford' shoes on the left will be killer if it's made in saddle style.
So all toe vamp and heel counter in lighter color, the laces part in dark color, or reversed.
