Quite a few Playmates have appeared in B movies and sundry TV dramas over the years. Claudia Jennings starred in so many movies of this type she was known as "Queen of the Bs" before she was killed in a car crash on PCH in 1979.

Of course, one of the most notable actress-Playmates was the luckless Dorothy Stratten, who was off to a promising film career under the guidance of her mentor/paramour Peter Bogdanovich before she was tortured and murdered by her husband, who then killed himself. I once had occasion to chat at some length with a Playboy photographer (I forget his name, he wasn't one of their top men). He remarked that a lot of the Playmates just looked liked the most attractive girls in their sororities, but the two most charismatically beautiful Playmates he had ever encountered were Dorothy Stratten and Marianne Gravatte. Of course, I realize to a lot of you young bucks this would be like reminiscing about Theda Bara or Clara Bow!

hah, I had both their issues: Stratten's and Gravatte's. Something else, they were.

i had a friend who was a really talented photographer who moonlighted shooting, uh, "glamor" shots of college girls. they looked absolutely amazing. then he'd introduce the girl, and, uh, yeah ... it's amazing what a good photographer can do with angle and lighting. let that be a lesson to all you jpeg-coveters out there.

I'm really surprised to see your standards fall like this. It must be the meaningless young, easy drugstore poon you've been elbow-deep in.

I need to find a liquor store owner; I can probably create the heart condition through diet and whatnot.
The drugstore girl and I are just friends now; high quality poon is nice, but so is adult conversation. She is only equipped for one of those.

Introduce me when I come to visit. I would be more than happy for some mid-twenties conversation.

DrugStoreGirl is 28 now; maybe too old for you.
But, RubeBabeIIIâ„¢ moved in with me last night; she'll be here until mid-August.

Here's your chance, kwilk.

True enough! A guy I worked with for awhile had previously worked for some record magazine. He told me that one time their office staff was going to play a softball game against a team of Playboy Playmates. (I think this was some sort of charitable affair). Anyway, a group of rather nondescript, moderately pretty young women showed up. He assumed these were some sort of office staff and that the real Playmates hadn't shown up yet when suddenly he realized these were the Playmates!

Another time I was at the beach, and, lo, it turned out that Penthouse magazine was staging some sort of event and that two Penthouse Pets would be present. Well, the Penthouse Pets made their appearance, and they were, well, cute, but certainly not spectacularly beautiful, as one might expect. They were certainly no better than a number of other girls on that stretch of beach. Occasionally when I would frequent the beach, I would see a girl who was just breathtaking, but the two Penthouse Pets were not of that caliber.
