A lot of folks out there will tell you otherwise, but they're wrong. I have yet to see a picture of a charcoal suit with pink or purple tie that wouldn't look remarkably better with a rich navy suit.

Two of the groomsmen had issues with their existing navy suits (don't have / ill-fitting / etc), so charcoal was the compromise.

I have checked out Kent Wang's stuff -- this pink basket is quite nice but far too wide (my groomsmen are all skinny/shorter).

Thanks for the suggestions -- will consider the burgundy on houndstooth as well.

I would go with #2. I think it would look better with the dresses. It will be more of a contrast but will still blend in well.

for purely style i'd say 2- but for wedding wear, probably 1

#2 then #3

Get a wedding tie and have their boutonierre and/or lapel flower match the dresses.

A black/white houndstooth or grey glen plaid will look fantastic with the charcoal suit and the flower will add some color.

Good luck, I was in the same situation as you about 3 months ago and I finally convinced the fiancee "no matchy-matchy"...

Let me join in the chorus. Of the three, I would also go with #2. The others are too light in comparison with charcoal and won't provide contrast.

Seconded (or thirded). A small check of wine/burgundy, black, and white/silver worn with a white shirt will pick up pink/lilac tones like those of the dress you pictured, complement the groomsmen's charcoal suits, and satisfy the tradition of the wedding tie. The one pictured below, or something like it will do the trick nicely.
