After lurking for a while in this thread, I have decided to take a plunge on Carminas as well. On my recent trip to Madrid, I stopped in the two of their stores - on Gran Via and Claudio Coelho. IMHO, the selection and service in Claudio Coelho is better. OTOH, the store on Gran Via still has a sale going on. There are a lot of models in various sizes, from the top of my head the most interesting were UK9 black shell boots on the Soller last (like this http://www.carmina.telemaco.es/articulo.asp?idarticulo=3465223 except with plain toe). Lots of choices in UK12 and 13 too :) Most sale models are 50% off, some are only 30%.

Anyway, I only had budget and suitcase space for one pair, so here is the "damage" - Forest last shell #8 NST derby:

Any idea how long the sale lasts and what the availability is like in terms of shoes/sizes? I'll be in Madrid in 2 weeks. I need to know how big of a suitcase to bring :nodding:

I don't know how long it lasts (I was there this Monday, and it was still on), but the availability was pretty large. I would say that about at least 5-6 different models in each size. Probably the best is to call them directly.

Very awesome! Just curious... in terms of your leather choice, is this their regular brown calf (vegano)? I think my own MTO order is about 1 week away from completion. :D

Yes, it is the vegano brown and my second pair in the color. They are very dark in poor lighting but out in the sun the brown has really great depth. Lovely color IMO.

Fabulous! If you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay for them?

288excluding VAT. This is around their standard for calf shoes and I think it is an amazing deal considering the quality.

^ yes it is. I think it's the best value for shoes. I'm tempted to buy another pair before they realize how much they could be charging.

Got the model from their website and emailed Betty to order. From the time I paid to getting the shoes was about a week but once they shipped it only took 2 days to get here (NJ) from Spain.
