I use the same size in both Forest and Detroit, but that's because I have wide, short feet, and I usually have to size up a little on narrower lasts. Detroit fits perfectly. Something to consider if you also have short, wide feet.

Got these in. I was concerned the last (Forest) would be too narrow for me (I'm normally a 8.5E US), but the 8 UK seems to fit ok. I think I could have gone TTS in these, which seems pretty strange since they are UK sized. They are my first Carmina pair (I'm an Alden guy). These match up pretty well to Aldens. The leather is slightly more rubbery and less supple than Alden's calf. The finishing isn't perfect on this pair, but neither are Aldens most of the time. Great buy and fun model!

+1 for B. Nelson. Toe Taps are cool too. But I almost fell flat on ****** the first day, stepping off a curb toe-first.
Ha, how did that happen?! I have sunken metal taps in most of my shoes, and I've never slipped because of them (and I always step toe first off curbs and down stairs).

Are those from the web shop? If so, I've been eyeing them ever since I knew Carmina sold shoes online. Give them a few good layers of wax; that's what I did with my first calf boots from Carmina, and the leather looked MUCH nicer and more supple with a good shine.

They're probably from Matches. There was a post a bit back, these were on sale for about $209.

I just got my pair the other day as well.

Very nice, I wish more people could take to wearing these two tone/Spectator styles.

I don't know where Alden got their information but tanker boots have buckled straps like a jodphur. The whole point is to keep laces from catching on things.

Got mine today as well. Clearly tried on around the house a bit and returned but nothing major. Carminas only come with one shoe bag right?

Also matches paperwork seems really mr. Porter esque. Wonder if they are owned by net a porter

I think it was my first pair from Epaulet that came with only one bag. At the time they said that was the case, but they sent me second one afterwards because they had a few extras. I actualy got two bags with this pair however.

I was thinking the same right before I saw both bags. If it only came with one, I figured I would order some Allen Edmonds shoe bags if I needed too.

Congrats, these are pretty nice for $200 shoes.
